Knee surgery!

So I am having knee surgery on the 7th of May. One day after Allie's 4th birthday. It turns out that my knee wasn't as bad as first thought. I have to have it scoped and a piece of my knee cap removed because it never fused when I was younger.
Turns out that the piece of the patella is the cause of all the pain. Got to love it. I am excited and scared. I am excited to have it done and hopefully my knee will feel much better. But scared because I don't know if they are going to find out that it is more than that.
I have a great Doctor so that is a relief. (Dr. Walentine)
I am trying to decide if I should have Allie's party before the surgery or the Saturday after. I am leaning toward having it on her birthday. (We are taking her to build a bear) Kami's birthday is 2 weeks after the surgery so hopefully I will be up to throwing a fun 1st birthday for her.

Grandma

While I was at work today I found out that my bosses grandma passed away. When I heard that it really made me think about my grandma. As many of you know I am very close to my Grandma Taylor my mom's mom (really Washburn but she will always be grandma Taylor to me). We grew up right next door to her and she watched us while my parents worked and I am sure that I slept there more than at my own house. When I was in middle school we moved in with her while we built our new home. Those days were harder than they should have been. Due to the age I was and that I lived with her 24-7. I remember on time when I was in 8th grade when she got mad at me and slapped me across the face and yelled at me " Tiffany" so I yelled back at her "Leora" I laugh now but man did I get it when my dad got home. We moved to Salem shortly after that. I would "miss" the bus to go see grandma because I missed her so much. When I was in High School and made the softball team she was so proud of me and told everyone and if you know my grandma she told you about 100 times. She would come to my games with my mom. And would say that is my granddaughter. While I was in High School she got married to Conrad. He was a great man! He had a stroke before they met. He was unable to use the right side of his body so she took care of him. At their wedding she asked me to be her maid of honor. I gladly excepted. Even though some of my extended family were mad about me being chosen. I remember at the wedding crying because I felt that I was losing my grandma and my sister saying something about it and my dad getting mad It is the joke in my mom's family that I am grandma's favorite. Well I will be honest I think I am. (She told me I was!!) But I am the one she calls if she needed to go to the ER with Conrad in the Middle of the night because she knew that no matter what I was doing I would be there to take him. After high school I would take my friends to grandma's to play cards or just talk to her. Nate still to this day talks about playing cards with grandma. When I was growing up I know that there were nights that I would think about my grandma not being her and would be so sad and cry. I remember thinking I want her at my wedding just let her make it to my wedding. She did. Then I remember thinking while I was pregnant, please let her see my baby. She did. Looking back at this I was crazy to think that she wouldn't she was in great health. On Thanksgiving 2007 she went out to look at something and slipped on some Ice. I got a call from my sister telling me that my mom had fallen and the ambulance had taken her to the hospital. Later I found out that it was my grandma. I was the first one at the hospital. She had hit her head and split it open. This is a picture of me taking to my uncles house. Later the next day she got so bad that she couldn't move. Turns out that she had broken her arm just below the shoulder. She ended up at the hospital again. And a few days after that a care facility.

She was in the care facility for about 90 days. She went in walking and came out in a wheel chair. (stupid place) She went home to the care of one of her children. A little after that she fell again breaking her other arm in the same place. They found out that she has osteoporosis so bad that her bones are as small as a babies. I was pregnant at the time and when they moved her from the hospital to the new care facility my mom called me and said to me. Grandma keeps seeing her mom, dad, and my moms dad. (And you know what they say about people seeing the people that passed before them.) So I immediately started to cry. I didn't want my grandma to leave me. So I called Nate and he tried to comfort me. I can't even describe that feeling of knowing that one of the women you look up to most in your life might be going home to live with Heavenly Father.
Well it turns out that they gave her a shot of morphine just before they moved her. According to grandma I threw a big party for her in the hospital. She still thinks that I did. And who can argue with grandma? Not me.
A few months after that I had Kamryn she got to see my baby. This picture mean so much to me. My grandma is 89 year old and I know that her time here is limited but let me tell you I know when she does go home that she will be walking with Jesus because she is the strongest, most giving, loving, caring person I know and If one day I can be half the person she is then I will be a great person.

Grandma I know that you won't read this but I love you so much. You are truly a inspiration to me. I wouldn't trade your for anything in the world. I LOVE YOU!!

Kami's surgery!!

Even babies have to have their butt showing
at least they get to wear bottoms
Just before the surgery!!

I know that she is my baby but she is soooo CUTE!!

I know that is has been along time since I have posted but it has been crazy at the Moore house. Kami went in on the 27th of Feb to get tubes put in her ears. She was so good when the nurse came to get her she went to him and didn't even act like she even cared that they were taking her away from mom and dad. When she came back she didn't want anything to do with Nate she just wanted her mom. (I don't blame her at all. JK) She was fine after about 10 minutes of mom holding her. When the doctor came in he told us that she had a double ear infection when he put the tubes in. Yeah like we didn't already know that one! We went home and picked up Allie from my sisters house and let Kami sleep for a while.

Over the weekend we some how lost Kami's ear drops and when I called the doctor he told me that she was fine as long as there was nothing coming out of her ears. Well that would later come to haunt us, because by Tuesday she has a horrible ear infection they called in some ear drops and we gave those to her for over a week and the ear infection wouldn't go away so I called the doctor again and asked him to put her on an oral antibiotic and she if finally getting better. She is still fighting the runny nose that she has had for over a month now. But I am beginning to think that her allergy's are kicking in and that we are going to have to put her on medication for that. She had them ALL last summer but because she was so little they couldn't give her anything for them so she suffered threw that last year and I am not going to make her suffer this year.

We also celebrated out 6th anniversary this last weekend. I can't believe that it has been 6 years. I am a lucky girl to have Nate for a husband and the father of my children! I will try to post more often.
